My name is Kenya. I’m a Michigander but I can’t wait to experience new places and people!. I’m ready to experience the world. This world is so big, and yet it’s also small. I love studying languages because doing so provides me with opportunities for getting to know the  members of my diverse human family.

Spanish was my first language love! We met when I was in the 7th grade and I’ve been in love ever since! It’s been my dream since I was in high school to become a polyglot. Technically, I’ve already achieved that goal. ^^ But I figure, why stop there? So, my list of languages-to-learn has grown quite long!

It’s been my experience that you learn more about yourself from interacting with different peoples than from people who are “supposedly” very similar to you in background. So the way that I have chosen to put my passion for language learning to use is through teaching. I hope that for my students, the road to multilingualism will be an eye-opening and life changing one!
